Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Atlantic, Cape May, and Camden Counties is an organization that provides volunteer support to children in foster care. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to represent and advocate for a child’s best interests in court proceedings.

CASA for Children of Atlantic, Cape May, and Camden Counties, works to ensure the safety and well-being of children in foster care, especially those who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

Volunteer Recruiter

Although I say I'm fairly new to CASA, they are not new to me. I began working here as Volunteer Recruiter just last year, but my wife and I were NJ state licensed resource parents for a decade and parented 10 children in that time. We had three young children when we started fostering and we adopted three more along the way. Our fostercare experience was made better by the fact that several of our children had a CASA Volunteer Advocate. "Miss Bonnie" (a retired educator) was always there for my children. That is how I knew of the meaningful work done for the community by CASA and why when it came time for a mid-life career change, I knew I wanted to make an impact by doing something meaningful and helpful in the community. I find working at CASA immensely rewarding.
